Blue Rim Around Brown Eyes

Rating: 14 films that have

2009 is gone, here is a ranking for pass the time and ultimately a very difficult choice for those we elect Most notable this year.

A ranking dictated by personal shots heart, dead to the detractors and cynics.

1 - Inglourious Basterds
was read anything and everything written about, so move quickly: Tarantino fun and enjoy some historians. With its very special replay of the Second World War, the film offers a great guilty pleasure enough to pleasure immediately communicative, thanks to his enthusiasm, his direction of actors and ideas (from engineering). Contrary to the promises generated by its trailer, Inglourious Basterds is not a war film but a film mixing genres, losing the viewer through the maze of possibilities, where someone is trying again gone (see the last sequence). As No Country For Old Men nobody crosses but everyone goes to the fire, aided by a sound track and punchy dialogues. With a bonus, a great idea at the end of film, that the Nazi regime is knock out the Cinema in its broadest sense.
Christoph Waltz is incredible, the film contains back-stories of his characters and enjoyment of the Nazi scalping is the coolest idea for a moment since, despite its whiff of Series B obvious.
Damn, that was how long we had not seen a real movie theater?

2 - Upstairs / Up
No surprises, there is "inevitably" a film studio Pixar when we launched into a retrospective of the year ... but what a film! If Up not the nugget of history in terms of scenario, it takes heart and do not release the pressure. We meet a prisoner of the adventures of "postman" and the embittered old, yelling at heart with the children in the audience between sobs that the villain is too bad "and giggle gags particularly effective scattered here and there.
In addition to the constant wonderment that is the thing, welcome to the technical prowess of its studios in California and definitely not stupid thinking on bereavement. It holds its breath, facing the magnificent and appalling first 15 minutes of the film, silent, hypnotic, fascinating.
Can not make me speak during the hour that followed the exit room, my friend Erwan is witness!

3 - The Curious History Benjamin Button / The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
choice probably debatable but an important date and almost immediately the year: the return of Fincher, adapting a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, after the magnificent Zodiac, a film obsessed with money spent on compulsive serial killer in San Francisco ( contemporary critic hereby ).
Despite its updating in a pre-Katrina America debatable, the project Benjamin Button remains a pretty love story through the ages, with the horizon at this sad moment just lived it is already lost: a the only time the film two characters meet in equality before the passage of time, in a moment these two beings who love forget the torment of a life separate from each other. For that single moment lost in 2:40 for dense and compact film, Fincher stigmatizes the irony of living for a memory that will eventually forgotten in the sands of time.
Among the technological advances in special effects, also note the aging process of the character of Brad Pitt, theorized into a corner facing the challenges of history. Literally haunted by her cruel story, Fincher attached to the Cross of the sidekick character's rich teachings Cate Blanchett and taxes and Tilda Swinton from the sheer beauty of this millennium.
Benjamin Button, is - among many other things - a monumental rebuilding and beautiful slices of life in the service of a mad project (and a trailer that t'achève by the grace of Arcade Fire (trailer ))

The Wrestler is absent notable rank: Blame the Fincher movie, which took me hostage for a week before seeing the film Aronofsky. Eric and Benjamin will not like but that is not the first time I disappoint. I recognize nonetheless that the magnitude Hollywood deployed by Benjamin Button can be a major flaw in the finished product. Personally, I was mesmerized.

4 - Morse / Lat den ratte komma in
Beautiful Swedish film, magic bullet against the proposed Hollywood soup (not shown here for mass once - believe me) . Let The Right
One In (translated into French by Morse, yay) tells the friendship of two children, abandoned in their own way, in a perpetually dark and snowy absolutely beautiful. Better to know nothing to address the film, and surprisingly poetic ode in his methodical dusting of a myth for less heady ... Stirring between his themes of childhood difficulties and need shelter misunderstood by adults, the film opens in more than a multitude of clues as to his characters, not judge anyone and says his passion for life in sequences chilling, morbid beautiful ballet. The experience is mesmerizing. A look
emergency before his infamous American remake project does definitely put in the works.

5 - Hell Up / Drag Me to Hell
A monumental surprise, relayed by echoes rave in Cannes midnight screening: After the blockbuster aside mutant (three Spider-Man), Sam Raimi returns to his first love and gives us a movie grotesque terminal between horror, slapstick comedy and burlesque neat! A success story that owes everything to the enthusiasm of its instigator, frustrated at being accountable to anyone for years, and amount of the coup Until Hell with his own production company. In the pure vein of Evil Dead his tone shifted if Sam Raimi delivers a story where a young banker incurs the wrath of a gypsy who throws a curse. In perfect perverse Raimi inflicted all the injuries to his heroine, that task is out of this mess as quickly as possible, which makes this piece of film an absolute remedy against boredom, perfectly paced and wonderfully oscillating between these types before we release in full horror on the ground. In
perfect director, Sam Raimi shows us more than well managed, even the most grotesque terror scares. Special mention to Alison Lohman, who deployed previously untapped talent, and think the Unrated version on DVD which is even more cowardly in crisp detail.

6 - The Brothers Bloom / The Brothers Bloom
An absolute stroke of heart, sold only on the first film of Rian Johnson: Brick (2005), film bastard applying codes of film noir a part of teen-movie. Ultimately, successful ideas buzzing and black as hell, pretty armored planes making me watch the sky every time I set foot in the grass of a sports field. 3 years later, Rian Johnson offers us an heir a little awkward but humorous.
Clumsy, because in his ambition (the film talk about the amount of 2 brothers upscale scams to fleece the rich), the gentleman's last magnifier action after an hour of delightful promise, and there is almost too much money into the project, causing some questionable choices. Remains a great cast (Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz, Mark Ruffalo), a flawless directing actors (I defy you not to fall in love with Rachel Weisz), a bitter-sweet atmosphere unique and intense pain in my heart by leaving the room.

(We talk soon so I can finish a text that began in August)

7 - District 9
The SF slam of the year (before Avatar ) out of nowhere. Neill Blomkamp tells his movie how visitors from another world met herded into a ghetto in South Africa while world leaders were wondering what to do with them. The basis of this success, a short film edited by Blomkamp, Peter Jackson noticed, which allocates funds to make a movie. The result is surprising, blending genres with ease and rage of a Shaun of the Dead (slide or other appropriate reference).
It follows first a scribbler of administration which is responsible for relocating the charming visitors from space, before it all degenerates. Filmed primarily in the way of a documentary, the project is dicey but makes up for its ultra-upmanship where credible disaster disasters, the film is a perfect end to a confrontation over-geek-you-die between local forces and alien entities in the field (last good bad guy since Aliens and Avatar before !). Despite its budget "limited," District 9 is credible in its effects all the way (we think back to the heyday Starship Troopers ) and provided some great moments of stagings, especially in a scene close to a FPS and in his final showdown (where you throw the pigs).

8 - Star Trek
When fashion mixes with the reboot and adaptations scattered Star Wars is a distant memory, it is time to tackle a monument U.S. geek culture, fallen into disuse for years (and not helped by the brilliance of shows like Battlestar Galactica ). Let's go for a reboot of Star Trek , officially, the 11th series (!).
Absolutely not familiar with the Star Trek saga , JJAbrams takes the train and rides a scenario addressing the heavy mythology with an enthusiasm and freshness forcing Respect: Back to Basics So, with the youth of the future Captain Kirk and the crew of the vessel, resulting in a baptism of fire at the well deserved success. Sponsored by ILM, Star Trek 2009 version is a pure ride drowned in lens flares (the flash glare), a mountain-Russian fucks vertigo which leaves you excited, but aware of the tricks used to loan return. If I put it so high, it is for his enthusiasm, his accessibility, his pace and the fact that it is simply the best blockbuster of the year (c'mon, a little effort, other U.S. films that I poses have reason different to be here)

- To get an idea of what Star Trek gave "at the time," click here for a postponement of the first film (1979) .
- Bonus Reading: An article (I own of my own) to know who is your new master in geekitude between Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams.

9 - The Box
Adapted from a novel by Richard Matheson, The Box follows a couple facing a tough choice, sending everything collapses faster dreary day in favor of a fascinating fantasy . With its mechanics and its subversive masterful score (by the brains of Arcade Fire), The Box not loose anything in the first vision and torture by his logic. Richard Kelly delivers a coat and plunges us into the torment inherent in its very idea of personal destiny. I'll add
adored him during his futuristic Southland Tales, but the soup did not take with me. Released on the sly in direct-to-DVD in France, the second film by Richard Kelly (booed at Cannes three years ago) is a shepherd's pie indigestible on which it is difficult to linger. Still, some colleagues as he is interested Erwan maximum and I am not without giving Richard Kelly unity of themes and ideas visually stunning between Donnie Darko , Southland Tales and The Box , and more particularly how to manage a diverse cast and almost surprising ( The Rock, Sean William Scott, James Marsden, Cameron Diaz ...)
- We talked already there.

10 - Avatar
Pharaonic project in development for years, most big-budget film to date, tycoon magnificent direction ... Have balls, it would have been to turn this ranking! But impossible to ignore the return of James Cameron movie, 12 years after Titanic . If 3D is sometimes the gadget, the technology developed (well-named The Volume ) allows Cameron to film all the shots imaginable, from any angle. A date in the way of understanding the film and thinking upstream its realization, whatever is said.
The only black spot of all is that the overall plot is too classic (and already parodied), but ultimately the amount of detail and abundant imagination developed that allow the immersion Total within the narrative. With these creatures, these vessels, and these mecha mess ambient Avatar regressive is kindly but extremely exciting and the multitude of details created by Cameron make the experience wonderful. With its unprecedented plans, his scenes of fanboys absolutely grim (yet these vessels and these mecha flights director), Avatar goes the distance for anyone forgetting his cynicism at the entrance of the room. And especially in Imax 3D and English!
only real regret for that last slap of the year: Sigourney Weaver do not pilot mecha, Yet as was the case in 1986 in Aliens already directed by James Cameron.

11 - Moon
A debut single, isolated in a space station placed on the Moon. Directed by Duncan Jones, the film has the cold air, which overcomes the limitations posed by these contemporaries before. The Moon, so close and yet so far from Earth. Nothing badass of frontally addressed, however, since almost the camera back presents us in perfect control of events that are beyond us. No monsters except the man who will always worse regardless of the outcome: his script pretending to avoid the major themes in order not to repeat (as others have done, and with talent), Moon remains at breast height for addressing the isolation and reactions of a lost man, faced with behavior and misbehavior of a distant civilization now. The only contact Sam is also an onboard computer to arty moods happily (Kevin Spacey who lends his voice).
Not stingy treatment review, the film sees its ambition revised upward mid-term, slowly withers and the agony of its protagonist in a SF icy atmosphere, clean trip and philosophical questions, marked by a haunting score by Clint Mansell.
With a beautifully designed production, somewhere between futuristic and intentionally retro Moon stands as a pretty UFO absolutely fascinating reflection of a man with a shattered psyche, knowing they lost, and gives a lesson in passing humility to everyone.

And shit, trailer! / / Output cinema in France in April 2010

12 - Deminers / The Hurt Locker
A war movie, perhaps, but also a film about the troubled psyche of a man on the ground. Venturing into the field of film-heated testimony of an ongoing conflict, Kathryn Bigelow does not exempt provided the codes, but inflicts on its characters a day punctuated by the countdown to the return (except ?) in the country. If the demonstration is unfortunately rather schematic (scene of conflict / confrontation and rest), the former Mrs Cameron loose in originality in scenes of extreme tension and de-mining (the sniper scene, the demining heated and its effects almost too modern in these already-seen)
Without judging the occupation at the individual level (most thugs are simply outdated), the director does not sound completely inhuman enemy so The Kingdom: one without stigmatizing or the other camps, each task is simply to survive until a resolution less improbable to hell and ambient daily. The 4-star cast
spends with joy, Jeremy Renner is fantastic belief and conclusion freezes the blood, riding a clear parallel between the hell of war and that of dreary day, with no landmarks or loopholes. As announced in the opening movie, "The war is a drug" and Kathryn Bigelow demonstrates once again that it is the most active female directors burnée. Besides, the iron lady competes for the Golden Globes this year against her former husband for Best Film ... So Avatar or The Hurt Locker ?

Out of competition: Transformers 2 & Crank 2 - High Voltage

yourself You know, I love guilty pleasures who try and fuck feast my eyes. If in addition one can have simultaneously two stereotypes street, the pleasure is all the greater. In honor where honor, then place the juggernaut of the year, Transformers 2 , signed by the fascinating Michael Bay. Unable to stop the career of the man without wondering what the anime, because between Armageddon and that, it's reasonable to ask some serious questions. in this case, all answers are there: Hollywood machinery at its peak and ready to crumble, budget Pharaonic stupid scenario, with American hegemony does not care vestiges of the past (pyramids Giza there are defiled) Transformers 2 trial is a quite fascinating, almost a work of art in terms of its constant kaleidoscope of images and colors suitable to epilepsy.

His opposite view is amazing and should never see the day: Crank 2 is - traditionally - the result of Crank, baptized in our region Hypertension. In this movie, Chev Chelios had to travel to the city hope to find a cure for deadly poison running through his veins, and the only way to repel the constant onslaught of poison is to boost your adrenaline, an excuse to completely novel situations daring and above all stupid. But the draft is correct and clearly not yet dirty enough for the two lads in charge of this project ... Without spoiler for
hope to capture your attention, Jason Statham wakes up early in the gourdon Crank 2, before being relieved of his heart in the operating room. The Japanese Mafia replaces the organ by a battery for a while now given Chev Chelios. Which will have to struggle again to keep his batteries charged up and draw all over the city hoped to regain what is hers ... Moron? Moron? Great? The film is especially unbearable but we loose face such enthusiasm DIY last minute that it becomes fascinating.

His status makes film uninhibited Crank 2 a GTA-like spitting all over and above the conventions of cinema, shot in record time with cameras ultra light and cheap, to achieve foolish plans and ideas into images of a beautiful bullshit. With his approach diametrically opposite to that of Transformers, directors Neveldine and Taylor have created a hybrid decadent and repulsive in which they managed to cast David Carradine, probably one of his last movie roles before his accidental death.
French operators do not make a mistake and the film was banned from operating in the territory (released direct-to-DVD)

THEN ...

I'm going to yell for forgetting A Prophet but despite his air of genre film, I have the feeling of having witnessed something too clinical and cold to detain him another day maybe ... And not for lack of trying the French film this year. Among my few tests, we note Not my daughter, thou shalt not dance (my first Christophe Honore, an interesting experience), The Kissers (believed to offbeat and enjoyable), Les Regrets (disaster ) So you (a cute love story, I was in the mood ...) and Make me happy (vaudeville funny at amazing female cast).
From exile in Canada, difficult to update.

Four late entries in the rankings, something new and three delays. avatar takes a few seats from the outset with its output end of the year, others are catching up, not having had the opportunity to see the movies or have knowingly chosen to avoid the VF imposed in my pretty provincial town. These Hurt Locker (Kathryn Bigelow), Morse (Tomas Alfredson) and Moon (Duncan Jones), three outsiders and ultimately, three big surprises in very different genres (war, fantasy , science fiction)

really liked the films that follow: Zombieland , Public Enemies ( we spoke there, as part of a retro short time ) Fish Tank, The Girlfriend Experience , Zack and Miri make a porno (direct to DVD), The Wrestler , The Chaser , in Gran Torino where Eastwood gets himself in a final scene in last stand (too easy) and Revolutionary Road which I prefer the great series Mad Men .

Not seen as a matter of programming: Coppola's Tetro
Deception: Where the Wild Things
hopeless: The Taking of Pelham 123 , Number 9

year cinema shows to soon

How To Make Vezon And Kardas Bionicle

GI Joe: Love to grind the crumbs pick

This year, Paramount is thinking big by launching in association with Hasbro cinemas derived two adaptations of toys. We thought we had seen everything but the Hollywood executives continue to conscientiously attérir us every year. If Transformers 2 ultimately prove to be a guilty pleasure epileptic fully advised after several sessions of preparation, what could you expect a decent GI Joe, movie openly pro-American whose name is for satirical Team America ?

simply nothing. If this is the satisfaction of having the talents of Stephen Sommers behind the camera, big screen cinemas absent from Van Helsing in 2003. This project of Universal, who wanted to return to cinema's superstars (werewolves, vampires and others), was ultimately a ride brainless, who lost all his poise in blister special effects ... GI Joe, it's the same thing, with the worst and more.

At the heart of the project, the secret elite GI Joe and Cobra among terrorists, who managed to get hold of missiles with a new order. A team of American soldiers to recover said missile and make lunch for the wicked!

Built around the endive Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller smooth, the film is touting the possible, where even Transformers 2 finally seem subtle. Apparently unaware of the shots in force for years in Hollywood blockbuster as we speak of the writers of it were dark right into the wall with its plot based missiles stolen and, worse, his sub-plot of becoming evil nice love for the handsome leader of the Gentiles (here storyline spoil, it's free!)

the middle of this desert of stupidity, the script tries to sell us that the military band is beautiful and nice, coughed what: But unlike Michael Bay movie, all attempts at humor fall flat miserably. While in terms of building characters, scenarios his later years seem to swear that the choice by the trauma or past the gates started to relax the atmosphere (and here, respectively, children of Snake Eyes and Marlon Wayans in the comedy department), GI Joe penalty on all fronts to provide a nice background. Each attempt to trigger the setter collapses awkwardly laugh. Unable to develop his characters more than the bare minimum, the film uses it as replaceable pawns for us to have a good time. At most, do we hear their respective code names, we see what are their weapons of choice (a must for a toy line into a film) without further ado. Undoubtedly aware of the humiliation that awaits him, Stephen Sommers relies on what he does best: action clanking, generous and sometimes blind driving, judging from what happens on the screen.

Kudos to production designer of the film is given away to their heart, without having the pleasure of seeing all his designs used properly. In this show, you can not put a figure on the number of secret bases, vehicles futuristic battle armor and weapons badass reviewed. As a caravan of strange God sold American entertainment, the film endows even a Paris tram colors RATP for the sake of the cross, forcing damage. The climax of the film, it is this frantic race through Paris, with some wide shots clad special effects to type "It is!". Around the Arc de Triomphe and along the banks of the Seine, the vehicles collide and explode while two morons in mega-armor running around smashing into most things. It's amazing, shot anyhow (although sometimes when it's to ask) and always with a view to demonstrating that there has not yet had enough damage.

Despite pleas, we feel clearly the limit of empty special effects throughout the film. As if Transformers 2 had recovered the entire budget of the summer Paramount GI Joe has to do with a budget therefore clearly not enough to illustrate all the proper places, and drift effects (especially the excesses) of the scenario. Clearly, GI Joe is a movie of the 80s with technology and means for improvement of a blockbuster a few years ago, all mounted together with the insult of a boy of 5 years preparing a end of the world in a sandbox. Those who still taxed Michael Bay big kid can be seen dressed formal mastery of his latest film next to the puree, the fun can not totally clear excuse.

Details and almost trivial chunk of the trailer, the explosion of the Eiffel Tower. It is still shocking to see that in 2009, Americans still do movies where you explode the monuments to lag larigot, just for the pleasure of the plan and the collapse surdécoupé the right word after a few scenes (" The French government is really not happy, you understand). Michael Bay has dropped both of the pyramids, while the suite is prepared with (yet) Roland Emmerich and his end of the world in 2012. But the last time the Tour Eiffel morflé was in Team America (from the creators of South Park ), an affiliation that does not escape GI Joe and recovers to its advantage this Suggest a feature to show uninhibited (as was Van Helsing ) sometimes frustrating given the limited scope given to the story, but definitely rejoicing in these last moments. Because in force to attend the unacceptable, we end up reviewing their requirements down and let everything and anything to block pain within minutes.

Levels actors Christopher Eccleston dismisses everyone. The Dr Who (season 1) facies done here yet sympathetic way to a twisted megalomaniac who wants to blow up Paris to avenge an ancestor offended by the French three centuries ago ... At the announcement of this beautiful replica, it does not see the film in VO to enjoy the Scottish accent of the actor giving it to their heart in the role of McCullen / Destro called back reinforcements in a sequel already announced. Not fooled for a penny, Stephen Sommers is farting all cartridges and carefully places his pawns in the end the argument with a scenario already "thoroughly" prepared.

remains a cast of familiar faces past and say hello to their director, Brendan Fraser cameo in his nemesis The Mummy, Arnold Voosloo (one of the major villains from Cobra). Cast curiosity, we also find Jonathan Pryce President of the United States: even 2012 Roland Emmerich is updated by placing this critical role Danny Glover, actor black America. Dennis Quaid, whom we love but cachetonne mouth for years, poses proudly General Hawk, leader of GI Joe prepared to break everything.
But the surprise comes from elsewhere, since in the role of Cobra found Joseph Gordon-Lewitt, the best thing that ever happened to indie cinema U.S. in recent years. We saw in Mysterious Skin, Brick , and so on of the best, no one expected at the turn for GI Joe. Hidden behind an impenetrable mask, it recognizes the gesture of the boy, happy to play the game here on earth, yet we continue to wonder what could motivate the idea of making this film ...

Awareness: Impossible, leaving GI Joe, still consider Michael Bay as a laborer. Besides Transformers, GI Joe pales: The first hour long film is painful to see, with his plans unframed in every sense, its lack of space management and scenes from which spring everything and anything like a carnival fantasy of military technology.
this puree added constant visual dialogues eventually be frankly staggering funny to force grudging all the cliches of the genre, must be no doubt when Dennis Quaid chanting "Go GI Joe, we go to the base! "end of mission. A good time to do anything overtly wrong.
For it is a long time since the project was seriously considered, due to projos apparently catastrophic release, the film would have been redesigned and reassembled to laugh at himself. From these rumors, it finally knows not the last word but still it is positioning itself in line with the summer blockbuster, GI Joe had everything to prove, and s' comes out piteously, on all fours, holding out the stick to be beaten.

BONUS: Very quickly, Snake Eyes, it's ball (with a final pumped partly The Phantom Menace), Said Tagmahoui like nothing, and it is taken several times during the film to turn to his neighbor to blow him shamelessly: " It is good the redhead. " It is also
GI Joe, a film so horrible sometimes it begins to become very ugly human beings.

Transformers 2 - Ski reading schedules and late reflections

It was during a lively debate with Erwan (eminent representative cine Radio Campus Rennes), the need has emerged for itself: it must be reviewed Transformers 2 . Had already cracked a text at that time ( at this address) we will merely some possible readings for the adventure otherwise.

- Graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Michael Bay has yet everything pure strain of California, with his stature and his athletic good looks golden by the sun. And frankly, Michael was probably one of those frat boys , detestable kind of students holed up in guilds macho sporting a wild geek and disgust that some animating idea of the cult of the body. Michael Bay also performs an inexplicable cameo in Mystery Men (1999 - film loser-hero), sitting at the table in a family of beautiful kids wearing symbols of a wave university. Seen bawling space plan, then he disappears into the wildlife film he does not take over (not a producer and screenwriter even less). This is probably frustrated with his education at a university in the East since he sprinkles his filmography declarations of love to young women in California.

Bracket: Michael Bay remains so awesome it turned into a pub in which he parodies itself.

So Transformers 2 becomes homecoming when Sam Witwicky flew to Philadelphia and a university in name unknown. We learn in section IMDb anecdotes of only two universities were used as film locations, but due to the damage imposed by history within the walls of each of them, the respective deans felt that Transformers 2 would not be the ideal pub for their institutions.
No shit.

Four examples for three sequences Peles-meles addressed with this new framework:

Loving the new diversity (and perversity)
- We already had items when things did look just (kind here by myself ), the cast was enriched by a female character. I confused for a moment with the cute computer scientist of the first episode, it is not mail, Isabel Lucas is a new arrival. Interest since the arrival plays a beautiful blonde with clear intentions and exclusively carnal in its first moments. With an eagerness and a scary-in returns from dementia his first scene with Sam, we would also blocked him. Déshinibée completely, he has some stupidly brilliant reactions from Sam, who does not know what to do to get rid of it. His grim scenes perfectly in the end leave a sense of unfinished business with their potential for qualitative teen movie that could have been successful: Megan Fox finally releases them a semblance of acting when she's pissed, and Shia LaBeouf may reply by ideas that will not have time to be exploited because of the pace of the film (among the ideas of dialogue: the dead time of 10 seconds, the guys made excuses boats hand in the bag, the shrieks to divert attention, in short, as springs which operate in the state given the pace of the film)

The beautiful Isabel finally proves to be an evil robot designed to capture through Sat it has many attractions. An effective sequence completes the transfer in metal insatiable creature. The site
io9.com reported that the creation of this sequence alone had asked the engineers working for two months every second of transformation of the beast. That may explain his lack of screen presence, and his second transformation, ellipsée by a cutting plane when she jumped on the car of our fugitives.
remains in the state, the beautiful Isabel Lucas was the best response to the needs of producers scenarios: By exploiting more judicious in his false love triangle, they could have offered a dream typically marked but certainly less implausible than his rollercoaster now stale. Especially since been run through a standard computer character, Michael Bay was an opportunity for fun not guilty. A character who bluntly announced: " was hacked the database for all the rectory bombs in our dorm . The best idea the film, made trivially perfect excuse to frame his actresses like a porn movie (see the last attempt to seduce Alice Sam) and filming scenes student parties like sequence nightclub in Bad Boys 2 (already displayed a scene where Megan Fox - minor at the time - credited as the "Bikini Kid Dancing Under Waterfall )

Gift, an excerpt from interview in which Lucas appears Isable just as pretty.

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

Destruction legacies of the past:
track - whose paternity is Erwan: Good brainless frat boy that he was probably Michael Bay has a score to settle with the university. Pretext for the story, Sam, Mikaela and Leo took refuge in an impressive library that finally shattered by repeated attacks of carnivorous robot. As if the remains of knowledge no longer counted, or that Michael was there a perfect layout for its scene of action, the location is simply flattened, annihilated, without hope of being saved. The actors twirl, jump from floor to ceiling, trying to escape the threat. The plan is growing, exploding libraries, books are shredded and the "Shrine" is reduced to a pulp before seeing the result of his action will continue on campus.

is almost as shocking as seeing the Giza Piramides be climbing robots with little concern for preserving these wonders of the world. Shots soon, we also showed the Witwicky family holiday in Paris, being assaulted by a mime and snails forcefully spit out their grumbling. Nothing insulting far Transformers 2 is a movie American tourist clichés as making use of gimmicks passengers. Wait to see how the Egyptians are treated.

Converse teen in a movie robots
- It is within these sequences of destruction that we discover that Sam has panic easily, a trait characterized by an astonishing speed record when he has to s' express. Impossible not to at least a smile when he, on the verge of a nervous breakdown every 20 minutes should summarize the situation to a new entrant in him screaming all he knows in an easily understandable gibberish premium First: mixing analogies and thousands of repetitions (" signs in my head! , "he yells all the time), the comedy is usually based on this stack of successive replicas yelled as effective taglines.
In the sequences of the university, there are also moments posed where trade is becoming almost as entertainment in a film Apatow. replicas burst out and look natural, balanced tit for tat. Even VF is the result of truth and joyful crying, big joke between friends and panic by exhultée the verb.

In addition the dialogue game:
- Relaxed by a cake with herbs, maternal stress accompanying his son becomes abnormally cool and walk on the campus, shouting to anyone who will listen that his little just moved next door (and he dressed up as Spice Boy when he was little). Totally out of control, she fled when her husband wants to catch up, resulting in a moment of improvisation miraculously captured within this structure well established.
note, it goes very fast and this time no plans for cuts to a scene where Shia LaBeouf almost wonders what he does in the plan: Made for both human and not only doubles ghosts that give way to robots endowed with speech, this plan is interesting for its dynamic vaguely approached pure comedy. Sat groping, trying to hold his hands, does not know how to react to his mother dropped on campus, then finally turn its back on stage to pretend to do his shoelaces. A situation of embarrassment brought to its climax when a girl calls Sam to ask him to look after his mother, he pretended not to know.
Within this short sequence made of a plan, we feel much improvisation an actor and any opportunities that might arise from in a different direction of actors and thereafter, it will simply be charged dialogues burst hope to drill a little life behind oiled mechanics of the organization.

Fuck love, live art (of war)
- In this bawdy effects and intrigue to (un) mixing, Michael Bay loses the path to feel it now the winning couple, Shia LaBeouf / Megan Fox, you could feel empathy with, for example, the pair Ben Affleck / Liv Tyler in Armageddon (same director). With the change of time comes change of manners, style: 11 years separate the two films. In Armageddon, Ben and Liv snort in two intimate touching scenes, before marrying in the end credits. Transformers 2 changing, with these players who will meet you on the internet to chat. Along the way we look in dialogues charged with a submachine gun and say "I love you" with difficulty: an event set up like an emotional climax that never works, so that keeps coming to tease way, either by direction or by creatures who parade across the screen. Subsequently, in off-screen, always.

Transformers 2 is a little less stupid than we care to think of it, but it's true that sometimes look ... remains good ideas here and there to deviants, and much hope for the future!

Thank You Letters Destination Wedding

cinema unexpected output: Up to you, Jennifer Devoldere

With summer comes the hunger drive, but as we are always ready to tempt fate, we go for the French film of the month! A first film that comes out of nowhere, apparent technical output in July, three weeks before the release of the bulldozer Inglourious Basterds . At first sight there is no relationship between these two productions, except that the Tarantino's film shares with you Up actress Melanie Laurent, an opportunity perhaps to boost the numbers a bit of a short film released without big promotion.

The pitch is to love canned: At 26, Chloe lives alone in Paris. Everything seems to be fine. Good work, nice friends, neighbors conciliatory ... It looks just great Love. And only the movies they rent DVDs regularly bring him a glimmer of hope. One day she unwittingly meets an American, Jack, dumped by his girlfriend, who just won a trip to Paris. Chloe will then, by happy random, retrieve the bag for Jack, especially falling in love with its content ...

Punctuated by a catchy song by Kate Nash, the film follows the journey of Melanie Laurent, adorable and playful, which loses its inaccessibility time of a film, to become that neighbor who could reside in the apartment at side. Dreamy, light but incredibly serious when it comes to feelings, she manages to infuse his character (Chloe) I do not know what a particularly original and touching that one can only fall in love.
In this romantic story in Paris who could pitch in disgust from his more a, the potential of artificial scent is quickly removed by the lightness of the company: The film is constructed like a goofy survey that will engage everyone knows that Chloe, to find the owner of the red suitcase and dare talk to him. Between hope she knows just as unreasonable and want to believe it will go a long way to go out of his little bubble and take its first steps outside. Under his features so charming, Chloe is a different character almost reassuring about girls her age can be an adult and still dreaming of Prince Charming, a trap as a blessing.

Until you is a movie title is puzzling, vaguely poetic we do not know why, where one embarks from the crumbling walls of a Paris hotel, an apartment of a young girl a little lost, a film where we go from one continent to another within a plane. A premise and an ease that seems inherent to the genre, and can quickly upset if not for the cool clear of the whole and the belief that emerges. The plot is played on two levels, between Chloe and her daily life that slips slowly, and American Jack on vacation in Paris, where he waits patiently found his suitcase (as such, the U.S. perspective on life hotel in France is pretty hilarious).
Torn between English and French, the film is not confined to his status as romantic comedy, and plays the chronicle of manners from two personalities who are hoping for a little more original than their present situation. A game of musical chairs that is almost cruel to his characters in his last act before reassure us about the future of each. Phew.

Up plunges you into the lives of his characters, even minor, to the point of us to share some nice jokes. The hollow of a sequence, it develops a nice concept: the theory of compatibility with DVD. Three songs, three movies to know if we match. A test that is already not hesitate to get in the evenings without having made that way.
Director Jennifer Devoldere enriches its passage sweet epic pleasing supporting cast, the hotel receptionist odious to the father of Chloe, a little geek, played by the great Jackie Berroyer (to see imperatively: Calvary ). It also crosses the actor Billy Boyd (Pippin in Lord of the Rings ) English dapper great emphasis on playing the best friend of Jack, which makes the film an undeniable bond with his comic interventions always a little "direct".

Detail lolant between good people: Chloe is a real consumer DVD and provides a video club. A video store that customers of Operation Frisson Yannick Dahan may recognize that as these provide a framework for the issue (probably since suspended). Arie Elmaleh, sucks much less than his brother, plays the manager who speaks and reads Mad Movies (almost) good movie genre: are evoked jumble The Grudge , 28 days later and The Descent. References "dark" in a romantic film, it does not take agitates for more on my seat.
If you've never seen Operation Frisson , click to the sample consisting!

never demonstrative, always waiting and looking at the right time, you Up is the great story of a meeting subject to doubt and confusion to its denouement, too good to be true but yet so clear. Life is not all about lightning strikes, we also learn to know before.

Filmography - Life, love, brown : Liv Tyler in 12 movies (2 / 2)

Second part of the record films devoted to the tall brunette. If you're lost, you will recover the first part of our reunion right here.
This is an attempt to share a few lighthearted moments of cine actress sympathetic to the diverse and varied filmography. Among her fond memories are hiding some reviews of films and the joy of finding different qualities each time. So yay!

After the experiment Empire Records, Liv Tyler is invited to a cameo in easily identifiable U Turn (1997). Director Oliver Stone, then in full post- Natural Born Killers, America found it crazy redneck and he loves to make this movie a top experiencing madness. Fell stranded in a lost corner, Sean Penn finds himself confronted with the local wildlife, apparently seriously contested by the sun. Faced with everybody, enlisted in stories of money and manipulated by Jennifer Lopez who was running in good movies (with The Cell and Out of Sight), Sean Penn is also likely to fart a cable ...

U-Turn is a typical movie impressive cast, which identifies it immediately. Are in turmoil as Nick Nolte, Jon Voight, Billy Bob Thornton and the couple Joaquin Phoenix / Claire Danes (met a few years later in the magnificent It's All About Love ). A permanent show which hits on the system, in the best sense. You can meet Liv Tyler at the bus station, waiting patiently for his turn at the counter behind a Sean Penn on edge, trying to flee the city.

A short trailer to convince:

very nice little film, Guns 1748 (Plunkett and MacLeane English) is a minor but very cool. Directed in 1999 by the son of Tony Scott, there are two villains played by Robert Carlyle (Yeah!) and Johnny Lee Miller (yeah?), Inviting himself incognito among the rich to rob and keep everything for them. Some idea of the good life, until one of them falls on the bourgeois luxury personified by our favorite brunette who plays her pretty face and Harbour head gracefully.
- Diction copy of Tyler in this England 18th century and great ball scene with confrontations between the false gentleman MacLeane (our hero) and Lady Rebecca, a little suspicious. The film is an unexpected ambition in its production towards the end, using very modern methods of turning a perfectly entertaining recovery so far.

Fun Fact interesting is the memory one of the first films to feed a musical welcome anachronism, by inserting a soundtrack scenes in his current time ( Chevalier and Marie-Antoinette n were not avant-garde in this respect).
> A trailer for a little humming this film not widely known
minor but very cool, thanks to Alan Cumming, Scottish actor great that we all experienced in GoldenEye the computer where he played Boris Grishenko.

I had twice to the actress last year for release in the United States of The Strangers and The Incredible Hulk : Two reviews you will find on the site which I wrote for Widescreen by clicking on the images above;
It Note that because of cronyism between critics and distributors in France, I had to soften my text but overall, The Strangers (direct-to-DVD in France), in which Liv is struggling against a gang of masked assailants laying siege to his house, is a small 6 / 10: Beginning on the right footing The Strangers is a small home-invasion movie really scary at the start which eventually losing to give too much importance.

Revisited recently, The Incredible Hulk is far from shameful. Reboot the origins forgetting Ang Lee's film, the film immediately gets rid of its sequence "forced" (The accident exponent Bruce Banner gamma rays), which goes into generic. A statement of intent rather particular to a "superhero movie", which promised a lot.

be found immediately exiled Edward Norton in Brazil trying to control the beast and remain incognito. Very comfortable in the role, Norton gives a great boost for Marvel productions that can pass for degenerate legitimating role of scientist Bruce Banner and fugitive by his size and great charisma. Liv Tyler, never far in the first half, the film eventually join him in a sequence of classic but perfect reunion and touching, before dropping them on the road (closer to the film of his kitsch TV series, in which Bruce Banner goes from town to town, constantly pursued). The problem

action films, and a fortiori, super-hero, is to give only the roles of tenure to his actresses. Dated recently, the formidable Gwyneth Paltrow in Iron Man only a few strands of scenes vaguely convincing when Two Lovers we unveiled a range unsuspected. This is one possible reason why critics have enjoyed our little friend, an inevitable comparison effect when the first Ang Lee Hulk could boast of Jennifer Connelly as an actress page. But Liv Tyler defends himself pretty good, and give life to his character correctly, walking on an equal footing with Norton in more intimate scenes. With a strong woman's physical size and the endless, Liv is a beanpole admirable.

With a rather correct score that adds weight to the scenes, Louis Leterrier is doing pretty well in good craftsman he is: the scenes are perfectly trussed (but not original) and one highlights of the film, the attack on campus is impressive and technically at the forefront of what can be expected. We thought making fun of Hulk enough improvement, one begins to feel the blows go near the screen.
The end of the film migrates into Manhattan, the time to send a joke 100% New Yorker in its public transportation, and wipe the end of the film: the final sequence of confrontation is to blow hard and stupid, where the side and very Manichean Marvel characters is heightened to its maximum. For a movie built form of stalking and that managed to be extremely satisfying throughout, it's a shame to end that way!

For purposes This retrospective, I bought and I revisionism (with the joy of a guilty pleasure) Armageddon by Michael Bay. Never seen in VO (my excuse then), it was an opportunity to fill this DVD lacks in the service of a heresy made film indeed amazing: Armageddon is by far the blockbuster to the most improbable pitching 90s, budgeted at 140 million, supported by a cast of very cool broken arm. Apart from Bruce Willis, found aboard the shuttle Steve Buscemi, Owen Wilson, Will Patton, William Fichtner and Peter Stormare, Billy Bob Thornton oversees all as may from Earth: Beautiful people!

Michael Bay well done since at the time his boat is believed to background music from Aerosmith (Dad is not far), slowed heroic pep talk rigor every 5 minutes, plans to end the world and sunsets galore. Liv Tyler has given rise to my first love haunting, with its tables and rustic scenes of wrenching farewells between her boyfriend Ben Affleck (the picnic goodbye) and Bruce Willis who plays his father (the farewell scene by interposed screens). She celebrated her 21 years on the day of the film's release in the United States, at the time impossible not to feel concerned. But I knew
At that time I also liked the mature woman, having seen Avengers Leather a week later.

lacked this non-exhaustive filmography famous Stealing Beauty (1996) by Bernardo Bertolucci, film director who has given its pedigree (sexy) to another actress in the person of Eva Green in The Dreamers. If you interested in film at least at the time of Stealing Beauty, impossible to have missed this movie: return of a former great filmmaker, cast and shaped so vague promise about mountains and wonders. In the end, nobody saw it and it only remains to forge a personal opinion ...

the threshold of adulthood, Lucy is sent by his father in Tuscany. In the house gathering some people who knew her mother, now deceased, she tries to answer the puzzling question left open in the diary that she was so little known.
Isolated and without pressure, Bertolucci films his protagonists with a tone and a decrease interesting finding in this community with fond memories of his sixties-eighters, he formed a very personal film, very different from what can now see in conventional production. Interested in his interesting utopia, it provides a transition to adulthood classic, yet hyper sensual and centered on the girl jumping into a stunning residence. You can clearly hear the European perspective and its effect on the cast, partly American.

Among these characters, the most interesting is the relationship with the young Liv Tyler Jeremy Irons, poet sick dazzled by the arrival of the girl, between confrontation and paternalism, the role of Irons is ambiguous but not unhealthy. Ironically, this film will be the last of Jean Marais, called the festivities playing incongruous good living in the end. Surprises Cast: there are also Joseph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz (!).
way, Liv tries to insatiable Lightness of Being, finds unexpected love and pursues what it tried in Empire Records a year earlier. Since then, the following most often disappear within the spirals of secrecy surrounding it and that our attempts to extirpate approaches.

The merit of this actress is yet to be known especially that it is more than 10 years after Armageddon who sees it explode on the big screen after a first Cannes Film Festival in 96, few films have provided the body. At a time when we celebrate temporarily Megan Fox the world, its freshness and its pretty face him concede a place in the heart of moviegoers not too deviant. And be welcomed, apart from recess McCool where it controlled the entire world, never having had to prostitute themselves to survive in Hollywood. The great class.

(And the pub Givenchy is art )

- Unfortunately, I failed to get their hands on Inventing the Abbotts, with Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly.
- Filmo complete on the IMDb .

Still ok for a ride in Wonderland!
