How To Clean A Burnt Wok

Scott Pilgrim: Volume 6 and the film are fast

After the entire column devoted to the creation of Bryan Lee O'Malley, we could sit there and let them work the words, except that the author of Scott Pilgrim has a busy year.

Bryan Lee O'Malley announced Friday on his blog ( Radiomaru ) the first details and coverage of the sixth and final volume of Scott Pilgrim! If the feverish expectation has this sad it will be the last on the volumes of the coolest guy in the world, we try to enjoy the excitement around the character, comics and movies included, and it takes his pain patiently.
Volume 6 called Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour and will be released from its shackles on 20 July, with even more happiness at hand because the volume will be exceptionally 248 pages price $ 12 gift.
output just in time, according to Oni Press, for O'Malley make the trip to San Diego Comic Con (unfortunately already sold out) and participates in a series of events to promote his book across North America.

The news was preceded the day before the first teaser poster for "revealing" Michael Cera in the role of Pilgrim. The film's release date approaching (August 13, 2010, everything is stalled in the U.S.), one should not take too long to see a trailer to arrive. If one can legitimately worry about the work of adaptation, however given the brilliant Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead , Hot Fuzz), the first echoes of projections tests are complimentary ...

Go Scott is your year!
I remember that Volume 1 was published this week in France at a price-mini, resistance is useless!

How Long Does It Take To Get Probate

Output essential comics Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley

An article found on http://geekmehard.blogspot.com/ for readability.

The very good surprise editorial side of comics at the beginning of the year (supported with the release of essential Tank Girl Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of Gorillaz ) is the French release of Scott Pilgrim , absolutely charming indie project born in Toronto in 2004, written by Bryan Lee O'Malley! And I emphasize the exclamation points.

Scott Pilgrim is a 23 year old boy was also living in Toronto, ass always between jobs, a member of a rock band and not really concerned with what happens around him. Besides, he squatted with his best buddy, until something better. One day he meets Ramona Flowers, an American newly arrived in town with whom he falls in love. Difficult to go further without already take great pleasure in reading this delightful slice of life and full of rhythm.

The alternative to having 40 years of comics continuity exists, it would be a shame to deny it: With its status saga produced by independent, sketched in black and white, clear and simply telling the life of a guy in love with Scott Pilgrim is a necessary quality in the comics. With this reappropriation of a passionate and tasty premise already known, Bryan Lee O'Malley demonstrates that one can just as surprised his audience in a field, however defined. The original frameworks and concepts that arise and there are redefining the media in which we addressed a priori adventure. The format is wonderfully entertaining and encloses the invaluable chronicle in Volume 1, is an astounding accuracy in a first date in the snow. A dive that makes absolute romantic highlights vinyl and you dragged in the streets, looking haggard.

Scott Pilgrim is so cool that without really knowing why, we begin to slow the pace of play, to enjoy more time on each page. Each volume is curiously arranged and published in manga format, making each volume of the mini-digest of a hundred pages. Besides storytelling Bryan Lee O'Malley takes over Some features of the manga, whose large eyes of these characters or some comedy performances in unspeakable state.

Tinted fantastic, preposterous odyssey of our young hero is very pleasing without being stupefying. The simple line drawing, which is refined volume by volume, is one of the charms of this saga very catchy and does not leave the reader indifferent with a mixture of genres almost bizarre, but interesting experiment, two chapters, it suddenly jumps to a discussion colorful video game through with a fight ultra-choreographed, in a transition that can leave circumspect. But the fun is valued above everything and Scott Pilgrim are read in one sitting, with well crafted characters (we're all part of the entourage of Scott Pilgrim) and its trappings of adolescent chronic quite funny, rockin in the soul and hopelessly romantic.
Moreover, the author never hides his roots and can be detected among all the constants of a certain propensity for comic autobiography: Scott Pilgrim lives in Toronto and walk in a city scrupulously transcribed on paper, while talking cinema itself, music or comics (the X on the shoulder of his jacket is familiar players of X-Men ).

Like all good things, a film adaptation is in progress; personality rather original Edgar Wright has much to do to properly recreate the essence of comics, and the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz 's interest to manage its first U.S. order.
The title role is held by Michael Cera unsurprisingly, idol bankable best represents the maladjusted teenager since the series Arrested Develoment , Super Grave , Juno and lately, Youth In Revolt . The choice is debatable and the coup begins to become a cliché ("Stop Being Such A Michael Cera " become an insult that means everything), but the guy is more than tested to play the romantic awkward.
Beside him, Mary-Elizabeth Winsteadt (the cheerleader Death Proof) plays Ramona Flowers, the girlfriend to impress, and the rest is also motivating, with Jason Schwartzman and a band of broken arms just waiting to be rehabilitated: Brandon Routh, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans.
The film, entitled "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World" (named Volume 2), released August 13 in the United States.

The 6th volume will unfortunately be the last of the series, scheduled for U.S. release at the time of the release of his film adaptation. Milady Graphics (a branch of Bragelonne), is responsible for the French publication, precipitated to serve as promotional material upstream of the movie in our countries! The first volume was released on 12 March for € 7 and is available everywhere, does not hesitate to approach your bookseller to bring thee into a heady new love and faithful.
welcome bonus, Bryan Lee O'Malley has submitted himself to the promotion exercise to introduce his character to new stakeholders. It follows serving as a preview mini-episode, exceptionally colorful, with the characters in 16 pages (available in preview Bragelonne )
