Grow Eyebrows Before Waxing

Focus Series: Skins S1 +2 - Generation

While Skins Season 4 just started with the mission to close the second cycle of the series chain E4, it is time to revisit the teenagers skinned alive so-called First Generation, covering seasons 1 and 2.
Created by a father and son both writers (Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain), the series offers a fresh look and more virulent on the difficulty of being a teen Birstol, mostly surrounded by such friends. If you can see without problems excesses drama, they are worthy of an entry to the cord. Written by beginners not older than the players themselves, Skins is a pool of young talent that is essential to monitor both the work, combining impeccable humor, adolescent mess and intelligent processing commands respect.

For Skins is part of this wave of revival of the British series. With series like Dr Who , Life on Mars (and its spin-off Ashes to Ashes ) but the trilogy Red Riding , small dormer UK takes the hair of the beast. Evidenced by this series still relatively young at one time, initially thought following a certain pattern: non-professional actors, writers and beginners closely involved in the show, filming on location (lots of outdoor scenes, in Bristol), tight filming in HD for the economy and maximum capture of the environment.

In this test program of the channel E4, a group of friends each episode (from 9 to 10 a season) focuses on a particular character, while following a thread as simple as the daily of wankers in a city they roam unabated. For these young people, life is a party where all the excesses are tolerated. But beneath this superficial scolds a terrible reality, immediate if one pays attention: all figures are missing adults, drug addicts, who have resigned, gone, gone gone. Even the teachers quit or persist in not understanding. Strangely, some characters appear sporadically for more or less guide these young cue total loss. They are ultimately an island where moored temporarily, without providing real solutions.
clueless and without true guardians (only Anwar, Indian origin, is surrounded by a family very active), they tear on social issues as diverse as possible (homosexuality, religion, drugs), completing this program loaded by setbacks and personal histories of each.

Ultra cheerful despite everything, Season 1 of the show develops its "mythology" with great bursts of flashes as the character very "Valmont" Tony, likes to manipulate people out of spite. The group, welded face of adversity, is facing failure at school, the evenings that go wrong, disappointed love, life in general. It's so simple it could be silly, if not for the original treatment, plastics (location shooting is to many) and the tone was beautiful attend frolicking down-to-earth The series is quite funny sometimes a stamp in these situations, recalling a humorous non-british sensique purely .

Stuffing cut short in season 2, less attractive from the outset. Group dislocated friendships torn down, the dynamic is lost. It quickly loses foot as the characters scattered. Cassie, blonde angel for which we can only take a fancy to his first appearance in Season 1, becomes a wandering ghost. First absent, she finally board, haunting spirits, appears as it sees fit. He forgives his eccentricity, even though she knows everything. It is paradoxically the most perceptive character in the series, between free and furious action.
While the recovery seemed to skate on his first episode, the series takes off like wildfire thereafter to abandon any notion of compassion vis-à-vis his characters. Is thrown into the real world they will separate. Ending on a heart-breaking effect of unsustainable with a desperate flight for everyone, we think we can distinguish the sequence of operations, finally abandoned as a work in progress never completed. The great strength of the show is to give us hope we never impose it.

Standard strictly cool Skins won his soul with its season 2. It is important not to stop on the promotional photos gimmicks literally hiding the misery is a series Skins Crude and brutal, aping the worst for the final embrace passionately. As at the end, everything led to this end, the season 3 adapts the concept by rearranging his entire cast in which there are only Effy, Tony's little sister. New generation, new stories. We had beautiful endeavor immensely to these characters more human than ever, we must let go. Skins completes a cycle and restarts on a new one. To see
imperative in English, to enjoy an English accent and its derivatives joyously incomprehensible.

Seasons 1 and 2 available in France, published in Studio Canal

lost output drive: The Book of Eli, the Hughes brothers

An article found on http://geekmehard.blogspot.com/ for readability.

The post-apocalyptic film ever more popular, with worthy representatives promoting gender effectively. Last year, The Road Viggo Mortensen in a projected end of the world now well codified and supported by a Pulitzer Prize dear brothers Coen (author Cormac McCarthy), and this time it's the turn of the Denzel Washington friends to try their luck with more literally, a book in one hand (and a gun in the other).

the brothers had been left Hughes in 2001 with their adaptation of boneless great graphic novel From Hell , Alan Moore posing investigation by his erudition an end to the great enigma hidden behind the identity of the Whitechapel killer. So long after that we could offer the two brothers? Nothing less than a film that finds its sources in a massive recycling codes of the past, with the assurance of a shaky but potentially intriguing topic: why everyone is chasing this book?

If the background of the subject is questionable once one knows precisely what it returns (there still speaks of faith as Predicted in last year), the rest of the adventure suggests new avenues for interesting reading in their humility and simplicity. Launched as a pilgrim on a quest dark Denzel walks on skinny roads of a continent governed by the law of the jungle. And this little game, Eli is definitely impressive, administering the award in long macabre choreography when placed against the wall by rednecks. Mute, monolithic, Eli advance westward, finding solace only from Al Green night moonless night.

Inevitably, such a step could not be done without coming up against some problems, symbolized by Gary Oldman, boss of a city remaining in the middle of the western desert; airs with the assurance of the last owner, it is quite delightful in his role. In this festival of facial injuries, also welcome the composer Tom Waits, more and more attracted by the dust arid and Malcolm McDowell, the last vestige of a class far behind England ( Doomsday also employed him for this purpose).

The film is rich enough in its twists (difficult to say more without spoilers), but everything remains surprisingly simple, especially in its action scenes, hidden in shadow or is the subject of a traveling circular. In all cases, except a few shots of poses deifying Denzel Washington, the realization is discrete and can, despite the shootings and conflict, to make The Book of Eli tale end of the world at which point one end of hope. Here, the pretext for the quest brings a semblance of purpose that was missing from The Road, which remained a pretty picture book with a succession discreet cameos and splendid flashbacks to the character of the mother (Charlize Theron). Female role, there is no more in The Book of Eli : Jennifer Beals, after end of The L Word , portrays a woman prisoner whose daughter, Mila Kunis, will make a decisive encounter. Already seen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (great comedy by the way), we knew Mila Kunis capable of playing under his tunes choupicutes; it provides once again, the sun of the Apocalypse to come making it the highest good.

Ultimately, The Book of Eli is a great surprise restrained in its depiction of a future dry, well-run and taking his time to narrate the journey of the pilgrim, the Hughes brothers' film is adorned the most beautiful attributes specific to the post-apocalyptic film (dust, guns and early mythology) to tell a tale of violence and hope.

Report to the image: Blow Up + Peeping Tom

An article found on http://geekmehard.blogspot.com/ for readability.

Blow Up, Michelangelo Antonioni (1966) / Peeping Tom (The Voyeur), Michael Powell (1960)

first film shot in English by the Italian Michelangelo Antonioni, Blow Up is, 50 years later, still preceded by a reputation flattering and has been studied in film school for its intrinsic qualities. The framework, it is far more charming: In the London of the 60s, a fashion photographer thinks he witnessed a murder immortalized on film. Difficult to say any more even if the film looks at project graduation of a student trying to eyeful at anyone who will watch his movie. Viewed in the first degree, the film becomes surprisingly obscure, so that all the keys are laid for a far more ... nervous. After a perfect first hour in which we follow the routine of a photographer himself imbued with the elements Criminals are connected (very slowly), suggesting they might from one moment to another slide to the background investigation, where a witness disturbing plunges headlong into a conspiracy brilliant. Even the codes seem to lend itself to, including this very mysterious woman in distress who finds our hero without ever leaking her identity and the pressure at which it is subject.

Loser viewers where they least expect it, the last part of the film is more painful, despite some attempts to theorize the image ratio and our own role as actor / spectator (especially in its last sequence, quite pretty). The hero pays a good time with groupies (including Jane Birkin) in a sequence unbearable, then lost in a concert, before finishing haggard, on the lawn of a park: to question the images too, it will have lost the opportunity to make the ultimate cliché (a quest morbid standing in the way) and its status as voyeur, shared with the audience. Difficult to forget
Blow Out (1981) when we have seen, barely disguised remake directed by Brian De Palma: immersed in the investigation of a sound engineer, there is a real film that twisted plus some special director's obsessions. The outcome of the story, much more murky and Dante, we would almost blame Antonioni to miss about him, especially since 6 years earlier and also in the teeming London of the 60s, Michael Powell realized Peeping Tom , jewel untouchable.

Seeing the two films in quick succession, the difference in visual processing is obvious: while Antonioni seemed to favor the natural scenery as a very European approach his subject, Powell turns the majority of his film studios, scarisant his film's garish. The result is great, between hovels and disturbing film studios (setting abyss obvious) is lost when another Hero, Mark, a young operator obsessed with the idea of capturing fleeting moments with his camera. Which
issue in its report very Psycho gender, allows Powell to push the limits of common sense at the time. The film follows the strange Mark majority, timid and sickly combining various odd jobs featuring his talents on all around the image capture (photography, camera). Fully aware of the excesses in which he launches (graphic violence for the time and very Psychology sexual), Michael Powell is engrossed in the autopsy of his troubling character and passes a perfect portrait of beautiful deviant, the victim of his time.
The viewer does become an active witness of the actions of the character, which triggers both an empathy for it and a shared sense of voyeurism, as Mark in advance its fantastic project. Sharing with the Psycho Hitchcock ambivalence and a family trauma obvious (+ the fact that the two men collaborated together before Hitchcock does parte United States), Peeping Tom not know unfortunately not the same film career: vilified by critics, killed through censorship and withdrawal operation, the film will end the career of Michael Powell.

While in the state, Peeping Tom still quite beautiful, we can be saddened by the fact that before such a result, the censorship committees are given them to their heart to remove the film a few pieces, the cuts made (dialogues, scenes explicit) are now considered lost forever. Smarter, MGM, producing Blow Up , had created a false independent commission of censorship committees at the time, to approve the film in its entirety.

Most obviously there is not, both films are full of references and trails to explore more!

Gallbladder And Drinking Beer

Sacred Shyamalan: Lady in the Water

The worst is committed. Shyamalan faithful since the incredible Unbreakable, I still defend tooth and nail The Village for its intrinsic qualities, including his audacity and sense of mounting ( critical river of time here ).

income in 2006 Lady in the Water, Shyamalan describes it as ever at risk of losing all credibility and handing the stick to be beaten in this story where a creature named Story (Bryce Dallas Howard, escaped from the Village) puts his hand on a caretaker, he requesting help to join his world. The microcosm of the building enlisted a cast of neighbors frankly missed: minorities flabbergasted, a kid who reads the future in cereal boxes, ridicule Freddy Rodriguez, and finally, Paul Giamatti, our hero, too serious in its role as guardian stuttering. One would see the cast of disgusting The Mist, success less in the end.

quickly Cleveland Story takes under his wing, and he tells his story: messenger of the people of the water, she must return home, via the pool of the building (if you're laughing already is screwed). Threatened by a creature dissenting, subject to the laws of his people, Story has a long way to go ...

In itself, the will of Shyamalan is commendable. He tries to create his own fairy tale and the characters more credible through its folklore particularly affected, because having been brought up with (here, an Asian family). Gradually, the character Cleveland (Paul Giamatti), seeing materialize in front of him the challenges of a fairy tale, a task to find in the people around him who will fill an active role and help Story. As often with Shyamalan, found one of the classic patterns of cinema: the main character is haunted by a serious loss (Mel Gibson and his wife Signs ), the subject of pain that is timely in the story to complete a quest and its resolution. Combining his own influence and the story he is trying to establish, Shyamalan clearly lost the north.

The film's main problem is that with his horrible handicapped by casting unfounded stupid ideas, not seek to follow the correct thing, poorly staged, heavy crude symbols and subject to ridicule at every sequence.
This is not for lack of knowing that Shyamalan and cynicism are bad together, but Lady in the Water , storytelling and shaking loose freewheel, racing, forget any notion of credibility in the casting and to file a resolution Digital frightening. Wonderful filmmaker, Shyamalan neglects to address the viewer in this trial and all the imaginary possible to immediately tend to fall flat (his final plan, a cons-dive under water, it serves as a wonderful cache of misery).
Again, we realize that the fragile balance of the Village could collapse at any time (for some, this was the case). In this case, Lady in the Water is the movie that goes "beyond", unencumbered details furnishing his plot to make it more clear (and acceptable) is a fairy tale delivered raw with these spectacular imperfections (including a disgusting photo) and his arrogance found any, imposed to exist.

* Additional Tracks - Slight spoilers if you have not seen the movie *
The most surprising is the role that attributes to himself Shyamalan, who had better spend more time behind his combo. The director plays a writer in search of inspiration, that the enigmatic character of the film said that he will write a book that is essential to the education of a future great of this world. The big head does not stop there, since with this passage not only Shyamalan gives himself airs, but warns that his book earned him to be murdered. Full of himself, Shyamalan sees himself as an important figure he must be silenced as a martyr to a cause not explained clearly. Between his desire to win again as the most original storyteller in Hollywood and her desire to survive visually through his own films, Shyamalan seems to put all the cards he has regardless of how one might perceive.

Yet we know Shyamalan capable of second degree since he was self parodied in an episode of Entourage where he goes after his agent Ari Gold to submit his fantastic new pitch ( extract here); perhaps momentarily calm and show everyone he was still sane, what can sincerely doubt out of Lady in the Water.
Similarly, a character introduced Shyamala strange in the film: a film critic, jaded, stubborn and unable to contact marvel movies (he has seen it all and all-inclusive). Final punishment, the character will eventually cut into pieces with no other forms of trial by one of the creatures of the film. Settling accounts with the industry having sometimes reviled, Shyamalan shown a hatred towards this incredible character certainly not very nice, but thinking ahead to the continued strength of operations - also - arrogance.

Chronicart sees an important film, the conspirators can go it out ... want to be convinced of it. Between large Film and misunderstood big farce opinions are settled but the lack of "packaging wonderful" great wrong done to the film. If we add to its colorful characters and the director's own reflections, Lady in the Water becomes a joke stupid despite the (presumably) good intentions of leaving.

Shyamalan has done it again with The Happening in 2008, with Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel, we talk soon ...

R/chelicopter Parts Buy Mumbai

Movie of the Day: Wanted, Timur Bekmambetov

An article found on http://geekmehard.blogspot.com/ for readability.

Wanted is still one of those products blithely threw every summer by an America hungry for entertainment Teuber. Provided, Wanted is interesting in its treatment over the leg and his attempt to create a mythology bobble, which only the basic pitch has been kept roughly in order to then adjust the sauce to infinity ( Wanted 2 is currently in production).

Basically Wanted is a comic-book very nervous scripted by Mark Millar and drawn by JG Jones, a mini-series rather grotesque and delightful to read for that digests all well in excess genera. Tinged with a dash of pop culture and representing a total fantasy geek, Mark Millar gives us, triumphant, death of all superheroes, including that of an ersatz Superman. Emerged victorious from this fight, the villains remaining control all the corridors of power and set up a secret society of mercenaries to serve their needs. Able to seduce any fan-boy in need of favorites Mark Millar wins the jackpot in this défouloir ambient, as he demonstrated again recently with the mini-series Old Man Logan , alternative history to the Marvel Universe Wolverine projecting into a future where it will cross U.S. territories reorganized disunited.

short, Wanted itself is a compendium of ferocious violence in which our hero Wesley Gibson, learned overnight that has an exit unexpected loser in his life: he is the son of the greatest killer of world and should join a secret organization to fulfill its destiny.

Wanted , as reviewed by the Hollywood system, is a dive into the action film uninhibited, with hints of comic-book is being strongly felt by the achievement of nerve Timur Bekmambetov, debauched his native Russia. Armored ideas sometimes impressive (some from the comic-book), the film really hard to give credibility to his world but makes its buggery cable in the office (post-Fight Club ) very nice in a sequence flashy funny. The special effects sometimes become so tangible director lingers to make them hyper sensitive to the viewer (we discover later why), the film trying to feel any change in the meaning to his audience. The bulk of the work is indeed succeeded in this update of the bullet-time gimmick quickly denigrate and though all, about the film follows with a vague interest in trying not to make us eat salads when James McAvoy (which is the first American blockbuster) plays the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

Angelina Jolie anorexic mode, simply put in the role of strong woman who sticks to his monolithic skin, in the comic-book, Mark Millar, JG Jones had asked to be guided by Eminem and Halle Berry represent his heroes. One may wonder what it would have been so strange casting had been observed (after all, Hollywood has ever listened Millar asking Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury in Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk )

Watch Wanted is accepting enough to slip a fat hamburger where errors of taste are more numerous, but since he's not Michael Bay and we can not seem to remember clearly Bekmambetov's name, it passes. Morgan Freeman and Terence Stamp cabotinent and bring some class to all first blockbuster long where you contrefout completely innocent people killed directly on the screen (see the scene of the train).
The immediate Wanted makes you want to watch the two previous tests of the gentleman, Night Watch and Day Watch , the first two components of a trilogy decerebrate Russian made 4.2 million for each dollar, and making the effect of 100 on the screen. The entrance ticket to Hollywood director.

I highly recommend for fans of the experience of plunging into the comic-book, published in one volume at Delcourt, compiling all of the mini-series.

5 Weeks Pregnant And Cervix Is Low And Hard

output of movie: Whip It, Drew Barrymore movie

Hazards schedules, monitors also welcome in France this January 6 Whip It , renamed Bliss in our countries, the main female character's name. Adding and updating the text, in combo with Bright Star , also leaving this January 6.

While abound on the big screen comedies such U.S. denominated Apatow independent or not, the debut of actress Drew Barrymore out of nowhere and comes in the same trappings: Slice of Life Teen actress to be inevitable and cultural exception purely territorial (roller derby). Indeed, taken together, the connection can be scary but unlike 500 Days of Summer farts higher than his ass, the film is less moral than clumsy recreation warlike life lesson optional. And casually, with Ellen Page (Juno ) in the lead role, it is a constantly renewed pleasure.

Bodeen, Texas. Bliss (Ellen Page), in perfect fashion grunge, struggles between his job as a waitress in a cafe, invading his mother trying to make a woman (a real), an absent father and studies that did not go very far: still an America left behind, but still this hope pointing the tip of his nose to the corner of a flyer for demonstrations of female roller derby. The film sets the tone at the outset in his trailer (best promo available), the program is loaded: girl power displayed, big sounds and large floats are scheduled for this adventure perfectly delightful, between comedy and pretty harmless slice of life.

A pleasure maintained by the phases of roller derby, where code names and kept the gang Warriors are the norm and Drew Barrymore to help develop a fetish for this sport clean devilishly catchy. The rules are explained fleetingly, but in the end only has the pleasure of the confrontation at the Rollerball sequences soft in a shed built. In this sport strictly feminine, girls run on an oval track and closed, and do not care according to rules of floats vaguely explained, but always with good humor. Juliette Lewis could not choose more appropriate back with this film, in which she played the captain of the opposing team, bitches hate to class unstoppable. Added to the cast Zoe Bell (Death Proof ), the rapper Eve and Andrew Wilson (brother of Owen and Luke) in coach hilarious appalled by the level of his team. In

Whip It, is fundamentally wicked person, and the main opponent of Bliss is the rigor of American decency in his little town in Texas ... So yes, the shortcuts are easy and all crumbles with the regularity of films of the same type already seen, but the unfailing good spirit that emerges from the whole film can have a great time and feel like getting up in the stands yelling at sports clips fairly well filmed. The inevitable love story film refreshes the trappings of independence, namely that it found a small rocker hipster strong interest in Bliss. This part of the film, much smaller, will not fail to exaggerate the few spectators not knowing what to expect, others will accept the compulsory passage in the end quite gratifying if one puts in place Bliss's character truly dropped between what is expected of her and she discovered her new passion.

Drew Barrymore, once promised to the same glorious future that actress Ellen Page, reserves not prégnant a small role, and shows restraint and modesty sometimes amazing throughout the movie.

Wersalka Yes Meblotap

Released: Bright Star, Jane Campion film

This Wednesday (day drive). Programming Montreal allowed me to see ahead Bright Star , I repeat here the short chronicle written at the time for me to stall on French news.

Presented at Cannes, Bright Star is the latest film by Jane Campion, celebrated for his portraits of women in film for many years. Still haunted by the memory tenuous Pride and Prejudice by Joe Wright, is devoid of any prejudices that I started in this new autopsy of an England gone, which, if only to renew itself, is still pleasure to find.
Because if we can blame something these films are trying to time, found there is generally very fast series of codes, between love uneasy, to climb the social ladder and tragedies faced. However, Pride and Prejudice managed to climb out of the lot by the original terms of its director, directing actors crossing refreshing, subtle editing and most importantly, inspired achievement. Here Bright Star attaches with a lot more academic to follow the young Fanny Brawne, maintaining a relationship with a poet in England in the nineteenth century: a starting position not as fun, knowing the conditions in which can save for such characters to survive in the midst of tragedy.

short, depending on the mood of each film can be approached differently, but soon displayed a trend: they can quickly look to the movie excessively torturing his characters (and the film provided a lot of scenes out time so foolish that we can easily choose this option), or otherwise adhere to the customs of the day (a label restrictive possible) and s'énamourer of folklore lost forever, his eyes wet.

is finally reunited in the tractable over time as Jane Campion succeeds to move us in a rough authenticity with its cast necessary minimum locked in a house he passed the seasons. Between managers and attempted forced to close dreams, the film crosses the daily heavy stigma of an English family is delighted that a few moments of happy disposition, and installation of beautiful passing shots. In the end, we could find the original project lies in the fact that the poet in our history is being John Keats and that far from resting on a biography well-behaved, Jane Campion takes advantage of dwell almost exclusively on events that will cross the young woman in love with it. As a guideline the framing story, the poet's life serves as a basis for benchmarks and the filmmaker weaves around the story of Fanny Brawne (perfect Abbie Cornish), lovesick and muse of a lifetime. A nice movie
codes heard, but perfect in its transcript of a love touching, ending in a final plan perfect.

Bonus:
- A humble essay on Pride and Prejudice , film companion to some England.
