This week is the "River Festival in Brisbane annual festival which, as its name suggests, revolves around the rivers and especially the Brisbane River. And the highlight of this festival is the fireworks "Riverfire. We heard many talk about us in recent weeks and the general opinion is THE fireworks of the year in Brisbane, better than the New Year and National Day. No way to miss it! So the way to Southbank on Saturday night. We arrived around 18h for the fireworks set to 19h, the bus was full and up a steady stream of people heading towards Southbank. We still managed to find places near the river but no seating. Some came equipped with folding chairs but they had to spend the afternoon waiting to judge from the coolers at their feet. The hour is approaching and the crowd s'éppaissit the edge of the river are full of people. The fireworks display is opened by a military plane in the air that goes into skimming over the river flares flames from its engines (see video).
The crowd screams its way, quite rare among Australians to be noticed! And go for 30 minutes inimterrompue explosions of color. The lights are from 6 barges positioned all along the river (we saw 4 of our point of view), 9 roofs of buildings in downtown which is in the background and three bridges over the River. While the music. A total of 3 000 kg of powder are needed! It took an eyeful half an hour, I let you make the final video (open a new crossing of the plane). It was pretty impressive. To give us our emotions then we did a restaurant ti;)

Noooosssaaaaaaaa! EKKA DAY

is the we! Week has been charged, I served for conferences " Woolworths' our local Auchan, and each evening we had about 300 staff, and there were no fewer than 5000 people!
but it was rewarding to see such an organization! In addition since last week my dear roommate Francis hump with me! So it goes faster and it allows to rave a bit!
As the weather is nice and I do not bump this weekend we decided to leave. It is time to talk about that famous "we"! Or perhaps I should wait a bit? You're interested or not?

So we left Saturday morning towards the north Noosa! Way "we" stop at "Glass House Mountains" for a walk an hour and a half between the ascent and descent. it looks nice and it has a great view up there after all.

I'm not sure you knew that it was pushing the pineapple like that!

Then we continue our journey to Noosa, and picnic and nap on the beach are de rigueur.

unmistakable cappuccino / beer end of the afternoon's bbq time has come! I've already explained? yes the bbq electric public, there everywhere? in a terrible word, just one button and presto griddle, and cooked our kebabs, I managed less well than my brother for the picnic and forgot the onions and mushrooms, I must catch up!
As night falls earlier, one starts to bed early enough! But the future belongs to those who get up early!
So Sunday morning after breakfast ti, head for the Noosa National Park for another 2 hours walking. It's too good, quiet, it's nice and warm and the waves in the background I love it! Just missing the cicadas;)

In Noosa there are a lot of surfers, especially in longboard, because the waves are not very big (I have a teacher I learn my lessons surfing), so we stop walking to watch the surfers.
end of the afternoon the return time has come, because tomorrow the week again! Trankil Sunday evening while a "tortilla" I manage better and better, the dessert pancakes in bed;)
On the agenda for this week ... I work every night at the Hilton for the Mercedes Benz Brisbane Fashion Festival;)

Cool on a holiday ! and yes it is a holiday in Brisbane! it is not life grand! all for what? for Ekka Day! So Ekka is the annual show of Queensland, its official name is The Royal Queensland Show, but the Australians are quite "lazy" and they shortened it became Ekka!
The day is public holiday to allow people to come at least a day at the fair which lasts 10 days!
is large enough, and it's a bit of a mixture the fair throne room of Agriculture, Science City, the fairgrounds wine ... One side of the show is devoted to rides and attractions of all kinds, they even have the famous fishing duck here ! then there is a zone "international food" and guess what we find in French stand?? pancakes! and yes a good crepe with Nutella! (Thanks Matilda, and yes, the roommate was working there, I'll have you do presentations when I have time). Okay I admit it's not authentic crepe, because the dough was not sweet, but she was very good anyway. There are also beauty contests for dogs like ... you know the dogs and me ...
short, a little of everything in this show, with the added evening fireworks, and make us wait for the American shows, with motocross, car chase, monster truck. Pictures are coming soon but I have a small problem to solve!
Tomorrow back to work and yes it should be;)

The time has come the weekends! I worked all week in a law firm, with Friday night's "Friday Staff Drinks" I like to work there because it is in one of the (best) turns of Brisbane and suddenly I have a great view over the city all day.

As I finished a little late on Friday I had to leave Saturday morning at dawn to join any clique stradda. Both say that waking up at 5am when I went to bed at 2am (yes, even the mistakes with roommates;) and also at the opening ceremony of the Olympics) was quite difficult.
But good for snorkeling and beach there is no price. So once we arrived there, and after my morning nap pitites direction 4X4 and boat diving.

I exitée any more because I am newly equipped, combi, fins, we say thank you ... who? (;) ) So I will hop into the water, I start to get ... but not possible to go further, my ears hurt, so I'm back (I'm deg, suddenly I look at a giant tortoise boat and waiting as the other back. They saw sharks, rays, and even my Nemo!

What's going on??

I'm looking .. I do not really find an excuse for not updating the blog ... but if indeed it is the lack of time! Do not worry I'll tell you all about my month of vacation. I'll let the real dates to not get lost in the coup that will be sandwiched with this post, you just have to monitor and watch it on the side if there are new;)
side news, I returned to Brisbane in late July I returned to work quietly and this week I worked every day. This weekend is
stradda (Stradbroke Island I had been spending the day), I'm leaving tomorrow morning at dawn, and the program?? Guess what? Yes Diving and Beach!
